I prefer games that are more about words and stories and collaboration (Once Upon A Time, Snake Oil, Code Names, Taboo in cooperative mode, Sentence Picture). I would rather not have point counters at all and am generally fine with no one really noticing who wins, and any rules that involve certain things counting for certain numbers of points make things less fun. Fiddling with maximizing and minimizing how many counters I put in bucket X instead of bucket Y is boring.
