LJ export

A question from the main developer of the freeyourstuff archiving tool; given existing options for exporting from LiveJournal and saving your old stuff, would you be interested in an LJ export as part of freeyourstuff, or are the existing tools sufficient?

I have found the existing tools totally inadequate and frustrating to the point that I've pretty much given up, and have kept my LJ archive active by logging in every few months. (Dreamwidth seems to have utterly foiled search in some frustrating way, so even though I've imported all my old LJ posts, they're not searchable by me, which is super inconvenient when what I want to look up is old political blog posts I've written.)
