Somehow I missed this the first time around! It got lost in a sea of tabs or something, so I never managed to properly read it. But I'm glad I found it again! So flattering to see you dissect Watershed's techniques like this (and so happy those things worked!) It was my first comics vid and I feel like there's many things I would change now, so it's good to hear how it did work. (And because everything draws on something else--yay remixing!--the use of different parts of the screen definitely was inspired from how comics work themselves, but also from this vid by beccatoria, which is a master class in this sort of masking/editing all by itself!)
I'm always kind of hanging on by my fingernails, so I'm always really impressed by people who dig into a project this deeply, seeking out other vids to get ideas and figure out how to execute a grand concept. Such commitment and focus and execution, all combined to make an excellent vid. Plus what a useful clinic in multi-fandom vidding, all right here in this post!
