Discussing the upcoming Murderbot TV show
Over in this MetaFilter thread I've been going on and on about:
the books use the medium of prose well, including unreliable narration; how can the TV series adapt that? can it?
the bookending of the two big rescues at the start and end of All Systems Red, and how Wells describes people helping each other overcome their automatic patterns
etc.
I welcome your thoughts! I have spent like 3 hours this week talking about this stuff and would happily talk 3 more.

I largely agree with you about adaptations into other media. I have assorted other thoughts about that (starting with Princess Bride), but must go sleep so that will have to await another time.
…When I started writing this comment, I paused to click the “I’m not a robot” checkbox in the CAPTCHA. By the time I finished writing the above paragraphs, the verification had timed out and I had to check the checkbox again, which suggests that the CAPTCHA system thinks it is possible for a non-robot to *turn into a robot* over time.
