The word "weird" is such an interesting one! I feel like it depends so much on context -- we use it in our house in both a positive and negative sense. Sometimes it's "weird and cool" (weird can mean really interesting and fascinating!) and sometimes it's "weird and annoying" (it can mean departing from the social contract in negative ways).
