Leonard and I played some more yesterday and I enjoyed the the crafting/gathering/etc. stuff. And hey, I enjoyed playing Animal Crossing a heck of a lot and that is mostly gathering and crafting! I think what had peeved me was the difference between my expectations going in and what I was actually experiencing, and trouble getting into the rhythm of things. Also, it takes a long time for me to memorize buttons on console handsets and I keep accidentally hitting the wrong ones because I'm so used to Animal Crossing.
The fishing is fun! I also like it when I can check someone's mood, figure out that they are hungry, and give them some food they like.
